I have trained under/with Sensei Jeff Greekas in classic Japanese JuJutsu for slightly more than 9 years, mostly 3 days per week.
As an ex-military jet aircraft instructor and having been trained on multiple sophisticated & large aircraft types, I have been exposed to considerable very demanding training. Consequently, I have crossed paths with some wonderful instructors. I therefore feel qualified to recognize good instruction.
Sensei Jeff Greekas is an exceptional instructor/teacher. His passion for the Martial Arts, combined with his outstanding level of technical skill and knowledge, very personable demeanor, excellent people skills, and sound teaching methods, make him a truly great teacher. Complimenting the above, his impeccable integrity and values and superb technical abilities are well-blended and balanced. He is patient, thorough, a polished communicator, a dedicated Martial Artist, and driven to constantly improve. All the above-mentioned qualities enable him to walk his talk with quiet congruent competence.
All in all, in my opinion, Mr. Greekas is the epitome of an ideal Martial Arts Sensei; anyone would be extremely fortunate to train with him; I know that I am.

Jeff Greekas is a phenominally talented martial artist and instructor.
His level of detail and precision for each new technique, movement, and concept is not only extremely high, but extremely rare to find.
He is extremely dedicated in making sure there are no loose ends at the end of the day and that everything is understood thoroughly.
He cares about others learning just as much as he does himself. Which is a quality you don't often find in an instructor.
To sum up, Jeff tries his utmost to uphold not only an excellent work ethic in the class, but an easy to follow thought process; that is simple within it's complex nature.

Last year I was looking for a way to improve my fitness that would keep me
engaged. I have always been interested in martial arts, but was a
little concerned that as a professional, I would look like Edward Norton
from Fight Club showing up for work with missing teeth and black eyes.
I found something really special in Edmonton Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. A system that was conceived by the legendary Gracie family designed to teach their world renowned self defence techniques. The club is a fantastic, positive environment that has a lot of adult students
at various levels. Everyone involved has been respectful and
considerate in my experience over the last year and a half. The
instructor, Jeff Greekas,
has a long history in martial arts and a genuine interest in the
development of his students. I cannot say enough good things about this
school, it's family ownership, and the physical and mental benefits
that come with training. If you are considering an activity for
yourself or your kids that will promote discipline, fitness and safety I
highly recommend Edmonton Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.Taylor Hack Dec 2013
